As our nation moves forward with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, the transformation of India into a developed and self-reliant nation will depend greatly on the knowledge, skills, character and commitment of its youth. As engineering students, you have a significant role to play in this transformative journey.

Your four years of Bachelor of Engineering are a golden period of learning, exploration, self-discovery and preparation for your future. I urge every student to continuously ask yourself: “Where do I want to see myself after four years, and what does career success mean to me?” Set clear, meaningful and ambitious goals, and work consistently towards achieving them.

Sharpen your abilities and brighten your individual talents by acquiring relevant knowledge, practical skills, creativity and technological competence. Remember that success is not achieved overnight; it is the result of hard work, discipline, perseverance and a willingness to learn from every experience.

At the same time, becoming a successful engineer is not merely about academic excellence. I encourage you to develop all four dimensions of your personality:

• IQ – Intelligence Quotient: Develop knowledge, analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• EQ – Emotional Quotient: Build empathy, emotional maturity, teamwork and leadership qualities.
• PQ – Physical Quotient: Maintain physical fitness, discipline, energy and a healthy lifestyle.
• SQ – Spiritual/Social Quotient: Develop values, integrity, purpose, compassion and a sense of responsibility towards society and the nation.

Our ultimate objective is to transform human resources into socially responsible engineering professionals who can create innovative solutions, generate opportunities and contribute meaningfully to the overall development of society and the country.

I firmly believe that each one of you possesses unique potential. Dream big, define your destination, equip yourself with the right knowledge and skills, work hard with perseverance, and remain committed to your values.
