Applied Mechanics department has a distinguished and technically well-versed faculty imbued with a sense of commitment and sincerity. We are a department of 06 faculty members, 02 of these holding Doctorates, 02 of these are pursuing Doctorate of Philosophy and the rest have a Master’s Degree.

Computer Engineering was introduced in GEC Dahod from year 2009. Its first batch was graduate in 2013-14. The building of computer engineering program is located on first floor of Block No. 4 in college campus. With the intake of 60 and adequate staff, the program has ample amount of class rooms and labs on its own floor.

It is two stored building. It includes 08 classrooms, 10 laboratories, staff rooms and Tutorial room of this program. Here, staff room of faculty for Humanities and applied science is also situated at first floor. In the year 2004, this department has been started with the intake of 60 students.

Electronics and Communication Engineering Program was established in 2004 with initial intake of 60 along with establishment of Government Engineering College, Dahod in the same year. Since, then, the program has provided best facilities to the students in the area of Electronics and Communication. Current intake of the program is 30.
